Monsters and Monster Ideas
When my daughters were younger, I always enjoyed watching them play and learn. A child’s imagination is so vivid, pure, and wild; you never know what they are really thinking. Their minds can conjure up entire worlds, it can make them princesses or kings, for a child, the possibilities are endless. Sometimes though a vivid imagination works against you because it can create big scary monsters that send them running for mom and dad. When this would happen, we wouldn’t try and use logic to soothe them, we would simply appeal to their imagination by saying things like “Don’t worry, we only let friendly monsters in.”
Sometimes, even as adults, we conjure up some pretty intimidating monsters. When your monsters poke their heads out of the closet, be willing to re-imagine them, especially the fear and doubt monster. You imagination is incredibly powerful, and it should be used in your favor, especially when it comes to your future.
Don’t be afraid to imagine yourself getting the deal. Imagine that your unique skill set is exactly what they have been looking for. Maybe you can imagine that your product is exactly the solution an entrepreneur has been needing to solve a costly problem. The possibilities are endless.
Don’t let your imagination run away with you, run away with it! Imagine success! Of course there will be times when you don’t get what you have been imagining, but each rejection leads you one step closer to perfection! Imagining success works far more often then deciding upon failure. Don’t let the “monsters” under your bed keep you from getting up in the morning! You can do it, and you will!
